The shape is always the same: who, when, what, where. Once you can see it, you can check any reference a generator gives you, including this one.

The sixth edition stopped at seven and used an ellipsis after the sixth. The seventh lists up to twenty in full, and only then uses an ellipsis before the final author. A long author list cut short at seven was written to the old rule.
APA 7 dropped it. 'London: Routledge' is a sixth edition habit; it is now just 'Routledge'.
Write it as a full https://doi.org/ address. Not 'doi:10.1038/...', and not bare. The same rule made 'Retrieved from' unnecessary before a plain URL.
APA 7, the current edition, published in 2019. The three changes that most often give away a sixth edition reference are listed above.
Author and year in brackets, for example (Aspelmeyer, 2009). Three or more authors are shortened to the first author followed by et al. from the first mention, which is another seventh edition change.
Use n.d. in place of the year, in both the reference and the in-text citation.
THE ANDROID APP
CiteRight for Android writes APA 7 and five other styles, keeps your references in projects, exports a bibliography, and checks a draft sentence by sentence for text that overlaps a source.
